Dana Dishman, PharmD, MPS
Title: Pharmacy Practice Resident (Acute Care)
Dana was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah. She completed undergraduate coursework at the University of Utah before moving to Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned her PharmD and Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MPS) from Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy. Her clinical interests include critical care and emergency medicine.
Outside of pharmacy, Dana enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and family, whether hiking, camping, rock climbing, or birdwatching. She also enjoys board games, escape rooms, and spending time with her pet tortoise, Reggie Cool.
Yara Elmoazen, PharmD
Title: Ambulatory Care Specialty Resident
Yara was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. She completed her undergraduate degree at The College of Staten Island, NY, and her Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy (Go Heels!). She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Ambulatory Care at the University of Utah. Her professional areas of interest include ambulatory care, chronic disease management.
In her free time, Yara enjoys crocheting, watching soccer games, and hanging out with friends. She is looking forward to exploring Utah, and trying new icecream shops!
Sandhyarani Gullapalli, PharmD
Title: Oncology Specialty Resident
Sandhyarani grew up in Los Angeles, California. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco and completed her PGY1 residency at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. She looks forward to joining the University of Utah/Huntsman Cancer Institute and specializing in oncology.
In her free time, Sandhyarani enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, hiking, and traveling. She is excited to explore Utah and visit its national parks!
Erika Intrepidi, PharmD
Title: Critical Care Specialty Resident
Erika grew up in northern Wisconsin, in a little town called Arbor Vitae. She completed both her undergraduate degree and PharmD at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Erika then pursued an acute care PGY1 pharmacy residency at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin. Erika is excited to join the University of Utah Health to complete her PGY2 in critical care.
Erika enjoys spending time outside, whether it be to hike, go boating, or going on runs. She also loves to spend time with friends, family, and her husband Bryce. Erika also goes to a lot of concerts and music festivals whenever she can. She is excited to explore more of Utah and critical care at the U of U Health!
Nahla Ismael, PharmD
Title: Pharmacy Practice Resident (Acute Care)
Nahla Ismael was born in Iraq but she was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology and PharmD at The University of New Mexico. She is excited to explore her professional career interest in cardiology, critical care, and infectious disease during her PGY-1 residency at the University of Utah Health.
Outside of pharmacy, she likes to play video games, workout, read, bake, and spend quality time with family. She also enjoys outdoor walks/hikes with her German Shepherd (Bloo), and Fiancé.
Chance Johnson, PharmD
Title: Emergency Medicine Specialty Resident
Chance was born and raised in Seeley Lake, Montana. He earned his PharmD at the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy (Go Griz!). He completed his PGY1 residency at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He is excited to join the U and continue his training as the PGY2 emergency medicine resident. His interests are emergency medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and critical care.
When not at the hospital, Chance likes to enjoy the great outdoors. His favorites include hiking, golfing, camping, snowmobiling, and late-night bonfires with friends and family. He is looking forward to all the Utah can offer!
Olivia Lopez, PharmD
Title: Cardiology Care Specialty Resident
Olivia was raised in Shawnee, Kansas. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in Lawrence, Kansas. She then completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas. She is thrilled to continue her training as a PGY2 Cardiology Resident and looks forward to caring for patients with complex cardiovascular diseases.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, walking her dogs, and exploring new restaurants. She is excited to explore Salt Lake City and experiencing everything the area has to offer.
Johnny Nguyen, PharmD, MS
Title: Oncology Specialty Resident
Johnny was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Allentown before returning to Philly (Go Birds!) to complete his PharmD and MS at Temple University. He went on to complete his PGY1 residency at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital and is excited to continue his training in Utah as a PGY2 Oncology Resident.
Johnny is a proud cat dad to Apollo and Atlas and also has a dog named Fig! Outside of pharmacy, Johnny enjoys playing tennis, hiking, pickleball, and dining out. He is excited to visit all the national parks in Utah!
Sarah Okeafor, PharmD
Title: Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Resident (second of two years)
Sarah is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She has a deep interest in pharmacy leadership and she is also eager to expand her clinical knowledge and expertise. She's incredibly grateful to have recently matched with the University of Utah for a combined Health-System Pharmacy Leadership and Administration residency, where she looks forward to learn from an incredible team of mentors and further shape both her leadership style and clinical foundation. Leadership has always been at the heart of her pharmacy journey, and she's passionate about uplifting others and becoming a strong, influential voice in the profession.
Josue Portillo, PharmD
Title: Oncology Specialty Resident
Josue Portillo grew up in West Valley City, UT. He attended the University of Utah for undergraduate studies before continuing to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Josue enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, backpacking, and paddleboarding. He also has a collie named Mika, who loves tagging along on his adventures. In his free time, Josue enjoys trying new coffee shops, traveling, and pottery.
Sierra Schippers, PharmD
Title: Internal Medicine Specialty Resident
Sierra was born in Thousand Oaks, California and raised mostly in Herriman, Utah. She received an Associate of Science from Snow College before pursuing her PharmD at the University of Utah. Sierra completed her PGY1 residency at the University of Utah Health and is excited to explore her professional interests of transitions of care and pharmacy education this year.
Outside of pharmacy, Sierra enjoys rock tumbling, bedazzling, and paddleboarding.
Karissa Suetta, PharmD

Karissa grew up in Washington state where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Washington State University, Vancouver campus. She then went to Memphis, TN where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. Her professional interest includes Emergency Medicine as well as Critical Care.
Outside of the profession, she enjoys exploring new activities and hobbies. She loves to listen to live music, travel, be outdoors, bake, any arts and crafts, and be around her husband/friends/family!
Sidney von Niederhausern, PharmD
Title: Pharmacy Practice Resident (Ambulatory Care)
Sidney grew up in Redmond, WA and earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Utah State University before completing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at The University of Utah College of Pharmacy. She is passionate about providing patient-centered, evidence-based care and is particularly interested in ambulatory care because of the longitudinal relationships that can be built with patients over time. Her professional interests include diabetes management, psychiatric medicine, transitions of care, and patient education, and she is excited to continue growing as a clinician and healthcare professional.
Outside of pharmacy, Sidney enjoys skiing, discovering new restaurants, attending concerts, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. She values maintaining balance between her professional and personal life and looks forward to continuing to learn, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Landon Welch, PharmD
Title: Oncology Specialty Resident
Landon was born and raised in South Weber, Utah. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah before obtaining his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY1 Acute Care Residency at the University of Utah and is excited to continue his pharmacy journey as a PGY2 oncology resident.
Outside of pharmacy, Landon enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Berlynn and Madden. As a family, they love being outdoors, building Lego, cooking new foods, watching new shows, discovering new places together, and spending time with their adopted family, Oakley (Saint Bernard) and Nacho (Bearded Dragon).
