Alissa Chan, PharmD

Alissa Chan, PharmD

Title:  Solid Organ Transplant Specialty Resident

Alissa is originally from Los Angeles, California and earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Santa Clara University. She obtained her PharmD at University of California, San Francisco and then completed her PGY1 in acute care at the University of California San Diego Health. She is excited to join the team at University of Utah Health and experience all that the transplant team has to offer!

As a California native, Alissa is eager to experience all four seasons and explore the outdoors in Utah! Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys hot yoga, running, hiking, skiing, cooking, and trying new restaurants and food trucks!

Tamara Cisowska, PharmD

Tamara Cisowska, PharmD

Title:  Internal Medicine Specialty Resident

Tamara was born in Tarnow, Poland and was raised in Mount Prospect, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies in chemistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She finished her PGY1 training at NorthShore University HealthSystem in the northern suburbs of Chicago before making the trek back west to start her PGY2 training at the University of Utah.

Tamara’s pharmacy interests include transitions of care, cardiology, and academia. In her free time, Tamara enjoys hiking (Zion is her favorite national park of all time), camping, playing tennis, baking, and watching Chicago sports teams (Go Bears!).

Lillian Clark, PharmD, MBA

Lillian Clark, PharmD, MBA

Title:  Health System Pharmacy Administration Specialty Resident (second of two years)

Lillian is originally from Virginia and earned an undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Tech. Afterwards she completed her PharmD and MBA at the University of Kentucky. Lillian is excited to begin working alongside pharmacy leaders and managers at the University of Utah.

Outside of work, Lillian enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring outside through hiking, and being with friends and family. In addition, Lillian is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on her favorite collegiate sports teams and Washington D.C. teams! She is excited for year two of her program and to continue to see everything Utah has to offer.

Kyle Finnerty, PharmD, MBA

Kyle Finnerty, PharmD, MBA

Title:  Health System Pharmacy Administration Specialty Resident (first of two years)

Kyle was born in raised in Cincinnati, OH. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from the University of Findlay. His clinical areas of interest include Oncology and Neurology. He is excited to have the opportunity to work alongside the leadership and management teams to examine cost saving and quality improvement initiatives to make healthcare safer and more affordable for patients.

In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his friends and family, running half marathons, and exploring Utah’s expansive parks.

Camryn Froerer, PharmD

Title:  Health System Pharmacy Administration Specialty Resident (second of two years)

Camryn was born in Neenah Wisconsin but has lived in Utah since age 8. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Utah State University before attending pharmacy school at the University of Utah. As a second-year Health System Pharmacy Administration resident, he is excited to gain experience within our entire pharmacy department enterprise, especially in the areas of pharmacy operations management, clinical management, and drug procurement.

Outside of pharmacy, Camryn enjoys wake surfing, snowboarding, and watching the Jazz (in good and terrible years). However, his favorite thing to do is to spend time with his wife and their dog.

Christian Gabriel, PharmD

Title:  Internal Medicine Specialty Resident

Christian was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He obtained a BS in physiology from the University of Arizona and later moved to Colorado where he earned his PharmD from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. While completing a PGY1 residency at the University of Colorado Hospital, he developed interests in infectious disease, cardiology, precepting, and transitions of care. He is eager to continue his training at the University of Utah Health as one of the PGY2 internal medicine residents.

In his free time, Christian enjoys exploring local coffee shops and breweries, spending quality time on his couch watching sports or Netflix and doing anything outside.

Brita Jensen, PharmD

Title:  Critical Care Specialty Resident

Brita grew up in Richfield, MN and earned her PharmD from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. She is excited to continue her training at University of Utah Health as a Critical Care Pharmacy Resident.

Outside of pharmacy, Brita enjoys spending time with friends and family, binge-watching Netflix, playing pub trivia, softball and board/card games. She is looking forward to spending more time outdoors exploring Utah and putting her downhill skis to good use!

Graham Klink, PharmD

Title:  Oncology Specialty Resident

Graham is originally from Evansville, Indiana. She earned her PharmD from the University of Kentucky and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at University of Chicago Medicine. She is continuing her residency training at the Huntsman Cancer Institute as a PGY2 pharmacy resident in hematology/oncology.

Outside of pharmacy, Graham enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She is especially excited to start exploring Utah’s national parks!

Michael Konietzko, PharmD

Title:  Health System Pharmacy Administration Specialty Resident (first of two years)

Mike was born and raised in Lakeville, MN and completed his undergraduate degrees and PharmD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His clinical interests include critical care, emergency medicine and ambulatory care. As a first year Health-System Pharmacy Administration resident, he hopes to start expanding the role of the pharmacist in primary care clinics.

Outside of pharmacy, Mike enjoys skiing, watching sports, playing with Justin’s dog Roxy and catching up on new music.

Elizabeth Kramer, PharmD

Elizabeth Kramer, PharmD

Title:  Oncology Specialty Resident

Elizabeth was born and raised in small town Dodge Center, Minnesota. She earned her PharmD from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at University of Utah Hospital. She is looking forward to continuing her residency training with University of Utah Health at Huntsman Cancer Institute as a PGY2 pharmacy resident in hematology/oncology. Her professional interests include hematologic malignancies, critical care in the oncology patient and infectious diseases.

Outside of pharmacy, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with friends and family, attempting to cook, hiking, playing volleyball and traveling. She is especially excited to eat all the delicious cookies and gelato in Salt Lake City, stargaze in Moab, conquer King’s Peak, and hike as many beautiful trails as possible in Utah!

Title:  Internal Medicine Specialty Resident

Joanne was born in the suburbs of Chicago, IL where she completed her undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago before earning a PharmD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!). She moved to Salt Lake City to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Utah Health, during which she developed interests in hepatology, oncology, and transitions of care. She is excited to be continuing her training in Utah as a PGY2 in Internal Medicine!

In her spare time, Joanne likes to work out, try new recipes, cheer on the Chicago Blackhawks, and is excited to continue to get lost in Utahs park's.

Bryn Lindley, PharmD

Title:  Pharmacy Practice Resident (General Practice)

Bryn was born and raised in Sacramento, California where she grew up competitively showing horses. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry at Baylor University and moved to Utah to complete her PharmD at the University of Utah. Bryn is excited to continue her training through the completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the University of Utah. Her current interests include critical care, cardiology, and internal medicine.

Bryn enjoys to hike, ski, snowshoe, and anything else involved with the outdoors. She also enjoys time spent with her horse and dog.

Lauren McClure, PharmD

Title:  Emergency Medicine Specialty Resident

Lauren grew up in West Texas and earned her bachelors degree at the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!). She then attended the University of Texas for her PharmD where she discovered a passion for emergency medicine and trauma. She completed a PGY1 in Las Vegas at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and is now thrilled to be starting the PGY2 in Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah.

Outside of pharmacy Lauren enjoys football, road trips, and exploring local restaurants and breweries. She looks forward to exploring the Utah mountains and learning to ski/snowboard this winter!

Josh McDonald, PharmD, BS

Josh McDonald, PharmD, BS

Title:  Pharmacy Practice Resident (Ambulatory Care)

Josh was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA. He attended the University of Iowa for both undergrad and pharmacy school, where he received his B.S. in neurobiology and PharmD. Josh’s pharmacy interests include primary care, family medicine, and infectious disease/antimicrobial stewardship. He hopes to complete a PGY2 program in one of these areas in the future.

Outside of pharmacy, Josh enjoys hiking, woodworking, leatherworking, and playing guitar. He’s also an avid NBA fan and can’t wait for the Jazz’s season to start!

Mikayla Mills, PharmD

Title:  Pharmacy Practice Resident (Ambulatory Care)

Mikayla was born and raised in the beautiful state of Utah. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry before attending the University of Utah for her Doctor of Pharmacy. Mikayla is honored to begin an ambulatory care focused residency and looks forward to working with an interprofessional team to manage chronic disease states to help patients live healthy lives. Her current areas of interest include family medicine, transitions of care, and academia.

In her free time, Mikayla loves listening to audiobooks, traveling, baking sweets, and spending time with friends and family.

Shelby Moore, PharmD

Title:  Oncology Specialty Resident

Shelby was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she received her undergraduate degree in economics followed by her PharmD at the University of Cincinnati. She then completed her PGY1 training at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She is excited to adventure out west to continue her training in oncology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

In her free time, Shelby enjoys hiking, spinning, traveling, and spoiling her mini goldendoodle, Mildred.

Shea O'Brien, PharmD, MBA

Shea O'Brien, PharmD, MBA

Title:  Informatics Specialty Resident

I was born in Sacramento, California and raised just outside the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I completed my PharmD and MBA at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I recently completed the 2-year HSPA residency with a Masters in Pharmacy Health System Administration here at University of Utah. I am now in the PGY2 pharmacy informatics residency and starting the Masters in Clinical Biomedical Informatics program at the U.

In my spare time, I am an avid runner, cyclist, and triathlete. Since moving to Utah I have enjoyed taking advantage of the numerous hiking and biking trails and snowboarding in the fresh mountain powder.

Meredith Oliver, PharmD

Title:  Infectious Disease Specialty Resident

Meredith was born in Laguna Hills, California and grew up in a military family with the privilege of living coast to coast. While attending the University of Mississippi, she graduated with a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a diploma from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College in 2015, and her PharmD in 2018. Meredith was fortunate to serve patients alongside an exceptional team as a PGY-1 pharmacy resident at the University of Utah Health. She is thrilled and honored to be continuing her training at our institution as a PGY-2 in infectious diseases. Meredith’s clinical interests include clinical infectious disease practice, immunocompromised populations, resistance mechanisms and antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/dynamics, as well as antimicrobial stewardship.

Outside of pharmacy, Meredith enjoys painting, yoga, and sharing her love of travel with friends and family. She looks forward to continuing her exploration of Utah’s National Parks, powder (via snowboard), and endless hiking trails.

Sabrina Schneider, PharmD

Title:  Pharmacy Practice Resident (General Practice)

Sabrina was born and raised in the small town of Eldorado, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate and PharmD coursework at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin. She is excited to continue her training as a PGY-1 resident to explore her interests of oncology, critical care, and academia.

In her free time, Sabrina loves to explore the outdoors, cheer on her favorite sports teams (Brewers, Bucks, and Packers - Go Pack Go!), search for the perfect cup of coffee, and enjoy the occasional Netflix marathon. She is excited to hike the trails around Salt Lake City and enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout Utah!

Title:  Oncology Specialty Resident

Born and raised in Orange County, California, Kenneth received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Biology from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He went on to complete a PGY1 residency at UW Medicine in Seattle, Washington, and he is excited to start a new chapter of his training as a PGY2 resident at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

He enjoys cheering loudly for his favorite football team, the USC Trojans, and cooking for his carnivorous friends. While in Salt Lake City, he hopes to explore the natural wonders of Utah, discover scenic places to paddleboard, and learn how to remain upright on a snowboard.

Shannon was born in Boise, Idaho and grew up in Orem, Utah. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Exercise Science and her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Utah. She is ecstatic to be pursuing a PGY1 at the University of Utah Health where she is preparing for a career in ambulatory care pharmacy and teaching.

Outside of pharmacy, Shannon enjoys playing tennis, going to Jazz games, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors.

Bestis is from a small town near Seattle, WA. She grew up in the country and worked on raspberry farms with her sisters before moving to Seattle. She earned her BS in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology and PharmD from the University of Washington. She is excited for this PGY1 opportunity and is looking forward to exploring her interests in oncology and cardiology.

Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and learning to snowboard. When not outside, she loves conspiracy theory documentaries, animal documentaries, listening to Beyoncé, and Crime Junkie podcasts.

Title:  Ambulatory Care Specialty Resident

I was born and raised in Smith Center, Kansas before attending Pittsburg State University as a student athlete to complete my pre-pharmacy requirements. I then earned my PharmD from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. My PGY1 residency experience was completed at the University of Utah Health with a focus on ambulatory care, and I am thrilled to be staying on as a PGY2 in ambulatory care.

Most of my free time is spent following my favorite local sports teams, the Jayhawks, Chiefs, and Royals. I also enjoy exploring Utah and all the great activities this state has to offer.

Kelsea Zukauckas, PharmD

Kelsea Zukauckas, PharmD

Title:  Pharmacy Practice Resident (General Practice)

Kelsea was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She earned her PharmD degree from the University of Wyoming. While in pharmacy school, Kelsea developed an even greater admiration for the profession of pharmacy through involvement with pharmacy legislation and the need for provider status. Kelsea is ecstatic to continue her pharmacy training at the University of Utah and eager to become a more well-rounded clinician. Her current practice areas of interest include infectious disease, transplant, and transitions of care.

During her spare time, Kelsea enjoys going hiking, playing with her dogs, finding a softball game to play, visiting local coffee shops, and reading a good book.
