Pharmacy Services
Pharmacy Services
Collaboration, Research, and Training.
Clinicians
One thing that sets our department apart is the research and monitoring we do for national drug shortages. This website also provides clinician resources to assist with quality patient care.
Residents
Our residency program provides the opportunity for pharmacists to further their education and specialize in 11 different fields including medication safety, ambulatory care, critical care, and oncology in one and two year programs.
Every May we partner with over 30 institutions across 7 states in the intermountain west at the Mountain States Conference where approximately 200 residents present the results of their residency project to their peers.
Technician Training Sponsorship
The University of Utah Health Department of Pharmacy sponsors a select group of eligible applicants who are interested in becoming pharmacy technicians. The program's tuition is covered each semester with the Salt Lake Community College hybrid pharmacy technician training program. Application submission.
Business Partners
We work with our partners in industry with a robust Investigational Drug program and with Medical Service Representatives once a medication is approved for use.
