Safe Injection Practices

  Safe injection practices are part of Standard Precautions and are aimed at maintaining basic levels of patient safety and provider protections.

• Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations 
  Notes on National Patient Safety Goals, current news as well as some tools, such as root cause analysis.
   
• National Coordinating Council for Medication Error Reporting and Prevention 
  USP and 23 other organizations provide recommendations for patient safety. Reports of medication errors can be made directly on this web page.
