ACCU-CHEK Softclix Lancet Recall

Roche has recalled several lots of ACCU-CHEK Softclix 10 and 17 count lancets due to missing caps which may increase the chance of accidental needle sticks. The 10 count lancets (Lot #: M25C2, M25C5, M25C7, M32B5, N32A5) can be found in ACCU-CHEK Voicemate Meter, ACCU-CHEK Aviva Meter Kits, CoaguChek XS Systems, or as samples provided by Roche. The 17 count lancets (Lot #: M25C9, M25D2, M27D6, M32A8, M32B3) can be found in ACCU-CHEK Compact Plus Meter Kit or as samples provided by Roche.

The missing caps are visible and consumers are asked to look at the lancets prior to opening the plastic packages containing the lancets to ensure the caps are not missing to prevent exposure to any uncapped lancets.  Do not use the lancets if the caps are missing. Dispose of these lancets in appropriate containers for needles while handling the lancets with extra care to avoid needle sticks. Consumers and healthcare professionals can call the ACCU-CHEK Customer Care Center (1-800-778-7057) CoaguChek customer service (1-800-778-7505) for replacement of these lancets.
