Sterile Lubricating Jelly

Triad Group recalled specific lots of Triad sterile lubricating jelly packaged in 5 gram tubes, 2 and 4 ounce tubes, 4 ounce bottles, and 3 and 5 gram packets. This is a Class II recall. The affected product may not be appropriately sterilized and its use may cause infections. The jelly packages may be part of kits, packs, or trays containing other medical devices or drugs, packaged by other firms. All affected jelly packages have lot numbers beginning with the number 7, 8, 9, or 0. The following brands of repackaged Triad lubricating jelly products are affected:

  • Allegiance: distributed by Cardinal Health
  • Henry Schein: distributed by Henry Schein
  • IMCO: distributed by Independent Medical Co-Op
  • McKesson Medi-Pak: distributed by McKesson Corporation
  • Novaplus: distributed by Novation
  • Performance: distributed by McKesson Surgical
  • Select Medical Products: distributed by PSS World Medical
  • Triad: distributed by Triad Group
  • Triad Plus: distributed by Triad Group

Immediately contact your kit, pack, or tray suppliers who will be able to determine if you are in possession of affected sterile lubricating jelly. Report adverse events to FDA’s MedWatch program. Additional information is available through the following links:
