METABOSLIM Dietary Supplement Contains Undeclared Sibutramine

FDA has discovered that METABOSLIM Apple Cider Vinegar contains sibutramine, a prescription appetite suppressant. Confidence Inc., the manufacturer of METABOSLIM, is recalling one lot of product, lot number 3001006, expiration 10/20/2009.
Sibutramine is associated with increased heart rate and blood pressure in some patients; these side effects may pose a risk to patients with a history of arrhythmia, stroke, congestive heart failure, or coronary artery disease. Currently, there are no reports of adverse events associated with this product.
Consumers are asked to return any unused METABOSLIM for a full or partial refund by mailing unused product to: Confidence, 138 Haven Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050. Consumers may contact Jim Chao at 516-767-1870 or jim@confidenceusa.com with any questions about returns.
